The 'Nike United' boot pack celebrates the biggest and best names in Women's Football
The Nike United collection, the second pack to drop from the Swoosh is dedicated to female athletes, with contributions from Sophia Smith, Naomi Girma, Deyna Castellanos, Lauren James, Salma Paralluelo, and Patricia Guijarro.
The Women's game has come a long way in recent years with fans and viewership exploding after a successful World Cup across Australia and New Zealand in 2023. Nearly 2 million people attended games across the tournament with an average of 13.21 million tuning in just to watch the final between Spain and England. Since then, the Women's Super League (WSL, England) has more than tripled the amount of matches streamed live on Youtube. Before this, WSL matches that weren't selected for live broadcast by domestic channels: the BBC and Sky Sports, were shown on the FA Player, a free online service that enabled fans to watch if they registered an account. The highest amount of views before the switch sat at just over 78,000 views. Now, the Youtube channel for the WSL has amassed almost 20 million views
This collection highlights Nike’s commitment to advancing the women’s game and amplifies the voices and stories of the players who inspire it.
The pack covers the major silhouettes of the Nike Football range with striking purples (Purple Agate) and hints of Barely Volt yellow across the board in the Swoosh and details of the boots while each shoe in the collection includes the names of famous female Nike players, such as Lauren James, Deyna Castellanos, and Salma Paralluelo.
