FAULTY GOODS POLICY

SPT Football offers a wide range of products, including products and boots that may include older, discontinued models. Age may cause the material, gluing, and structure of older boots to deteriorate and compromise the durability of the boots if worn.

Please refer to the individual boot for the manufacturing year. This is determined by inspecting the information tag on the product and can be found on the product listing, as this will be taken into consideration when assessing the product.

Due to our hygiene and safety regulations, we request that products being returned are clean, dry and free of any stuck on or loose debris.

We reserve the right to defer to the manufacturer of the goods in question to assess if the goods are faulty/defective.

Manipulating the brands warranty policy will result in a 24 month hold on your account before you can submit another faulty product claim.

For items that have been returned multiple times with the same issue/defect. SPT Football reserves the right to replace the faulty product with a different model.

We have a zero tolerance policy against aggressive and uncooperative behaviour. By choosing to begin the returns process you agree to our Return's Policy. We request that our staff be treated with respect and decency and that you remain as patient as possible throughout the claims process.

Factors affecting how long a product can reasonably be expected to last after purchase according to Australian Consumer Law (ACL)

A product purchased is expected to be durable enough to perform its intended function(s) for a reasonable amount of time. Consumer guarantees under the ACL apply for a reasonable time and in addition to any warranties that manufacturers and/or suppliers provide for a good.

The expected lifespan of a product can be determined by, but not limited to, a number of things:

The nature of the product, which can include:

‒ The materials used or composition of the components

‒ The price of the product

‒ Statements made about the product, either on the packaging or by the supplier or manufacturer

‒ History of use of the product

It is important to remember that the concept of reasonable durability refers to how long the product can be expected to last in normal circumstances. This means using the product in the way it was intended or the purpose it was designed for, having regard to any representations made at the time of purchase. If abnormal use by the consumer causes a product to be damaged, and therefore less durable, then the product will not fail to be of acceptable quality if the reason for its failure is that abnormal use.

NATURE OF THE PRODUCT - A product made with high quality products can generally be expected to last longer, however some products have parts with a limited lifespan that cannot be repaired or replaced, and the product as a whole, becomes unusable once the limited lifespan part fails.

TYPE OF PRODUCT AND ITS USE – If a product is used for anything other than it’s intended purpose, it’s fair to say that it’s lifespan would be less than if it were used for it’s correct purpose. For example:

BOOTS

Studs and boots are intended only for the type of ground specified on the product. Firm ground (FG) and soft ground (SG) studs should not be worn on artificial grass (AG).

GOALKEEPER GLOVES
Pro gloves should not be worn on surfaces where abrasions on the fingertips against the ground may occur (artificial grass or turf).

PRICE OF THE PRODUCT – A higher price point usually indicates that the product will be of superior quality materials, but this is not specifically guaranteed to increase the longevity of use of the product. The increased price point may be due to: lightweight materials or construction, a highly valued, sought after product or an athlete specific product. A consumer may be paying for the advanced technology in the product with higher quality materials and increased manufacturing processes.

HISTORY OF USE OF THE PRODUCT – As a general rule, the more heavily and frequently a product is used, the less time it’s expected to last. Sometimes this rule doesn’t apply as some products may deteriorate over time regardless of levels of usage.
