Faulty Goods FAQs

There's an issue with my product, can I send it back for a full refund?

You may be entitled to an exchange or refund, pending an assessment of the product being sent back.

I've worn my boots and they've only lasted 6 months before showing signs of damage, can I get a refund?

SPT Football offers a wide range of products, including products and boots that may include older, discontinued models. Age may cause the material, gluing, and structure of older boots to deteriorate and compromise the durability of the boots if worn in excess.

An assessment will be conducted to confirm if the issue is due to general wear and tear or if the issue is deemed to be a manufacturing fault.

I've sent my boots back and they've been deemed as 'Wear and Tear' damage, what's next?

In nearly every case, as we're experts in the field of determining whether the issue has arisen from wear and tear or due to a manufacturing fault, we reserve the right to defer to the manufacturer of the goods in question to conduct an independent assessment if the goods are faulty/defective.

I've bought the same pair of boots 3 times and I'm having the same issue, what do I do?

For items that have been returned multiple times with the same issue/defect, SPT Football reserves the right to replace the faulty product with a different model.

Subsequently, manipulating the brands warranty policy will result in a 24 month hold on your account before you can submit another faulty product claim.

The boots I bought were the most expensive pair in the store, why are they showing excess wear?

A number of reasons can be taken into consideration when asking this question.

PRICE OF THE PRODUCT – A higher price point usually indicates that the product will be of superior quality materials, but this is not specifically guaranteed to increase the longevity of use of the product. The increased price point may be due to: lightweight materials or construction, a highly valued, sought after product or an athlete specific product. You may be paying for the advanced technology in the product with lightweight materials and increased manufacturing processes.

HISTORY OF USE OF THE PRODUCT – As a general rule, the more heavily and frequently a product is used, the less time it’s expected to last. Sometimes this rule doesn’t apply as some products may deteriorate over time regardless of levels of usage.

NATURE OF THE PRODUCT - A product made with high quality products can generally be expected to last longer, however some products have parts with a limited lifespan that cannot be repaired or replaced, and the product as a whole, becomes unusable once the limited lifespan part fails.

TYPE OF PRODUCT AND ITS USE – If a product is used for anything other than it’s intended purpose, it’s fair to say that it’s lifespan would be less than if it were used for it’s correct purpose.

I used my Firm Ground boots for a game on Artificial Turf and the studs have been damaged, can I send these back?

Unfortunately not. Each pair of boots are made for a specific ground type and should only be used as recommended. If abnormal use by the consumer causes a product to be damaged, and therefore less durable, then the product will not fail to be of acceptable quality if the reason for its failure is that abnormal use.
