Artificial Grass (AG) surfaces are pitches and fields made out of fake or artificial grass. Usually ranging from short to long blades of synthetic grass over a softer, rubber like infill. This type of surface doesn't work with firm ground or soft ground studs as the surface itself has no give for the studs to sink into. AG boots have shorter, moulded studs that sit perfectly on this surface. 

These studs are made out of plastic or acrylic and are built straight into the boot that provide enough traction to support acceleration, braking and direction change.
