umbro - Whether it’s football or futsal, relegation or promotion, you’ll find the double diamond.
After trading out of the back room of a pub in 1924, two brothers, Harold and Wallace decided to start a company.
In 1930, the brothers opened their first factory to meet growing demand, but when World War 2 stops all sports, the brand switched to making military uniforms. Then in 1955 Umbro finally brought club kits to the public while 1966 brought England the World Cup with 15 out of 16 teams all being represented by the brand.
Finally in 1981, Umbro decided to give boots a crack and release the Cascavel, intended for the Brazilian market. Fast forward to 1992 and according to many, the "Perfect Boot" is created: the Speciali. Remember that goal Roberto Carlos scored while defying gravity around the wall against France? Yep, he did that wearing the Speciali.
Now the brand kits out clubs like West Ham, Brentford, Ipswich Town, Bournemouth, Gremio and Hearts FC.
